Canberra 2017

As Christian educators at St Brigid's we belong to a faith community and share the responsibility of communicating the message of Christ to the students in our care.

While formal Religious Education is based on a variety of texts, including Coming To Know Worship and Love series set out by the Archdiocese of Melbourne, we believe that our Faith permeates all aspects of our school life. As Christian people we share values, beliefs and a personal commitment to Christ.  In union with you, we at St Brigid's nurture your child's faith encouraging them to move towards making a mature faith commitment. An integral part of our Religious Education is the celebration of liturgy.  The students help to plan and take part in these celebrations and we welcome families to join in at these times.

Class teachers always commence the other mornings with a prayer.  Children also pray at other times during the day. Working in partnership with all members of the community, the students have an opportunity to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.  These celebrations take place within the context of the parish community which gives life to our faith.  We encourage the faith development of all families through Faith Development programs held throughout the year.
